CUSTOMER STORY

Dunlop Living HeroSML

Prior to the purchase of the Pathfinder cutting system, we had been operating 2 other cutting systems. The Pathfinder system integrated directly with the existing CAD software and over a short time we decommissioned both of the other machines as the Pathfinder has proven to provide the cutting capacity required (in replacement of both machines) with an operational cost 10 times lower.
We would be pleased to recommend Pathfinder.

Dunlop Living rests easy with Pathfinder reliability

Dunlop Living Limited has a long history of supplying Home Comfort Solutions to New Zealanders. Dunlop Living was originally founded in 1976 by Skellerup, Feltex and Vita Pacific under the the Vitafoam name which was later changed to Vita NZ. Following the acquisition in 2008 of Dunlop Foams & Flooring and Dunlop Bedding, the Vita name was changed to Dunlop Living in 2009.

The name Dunlop is iconic and synonymous with innovation and enterprise, its roots go all the way back to 1888 when the pneumatic rubber tyre was invented by John Boyd Dunlop. The manufacturing requires a quick response to satisfy the competitive market conditions. The ability to cut a variety of materials, including polyester fibres, foams and fabrics at high speed at the most cost effective method possible is critical to the company’s operation.

In 2004 Dunlop Living purchased a Pathfinder automatic fabric cutting system. In the decision to purchase the Pathfinder cutting system, Dunlop Living compared productivity, reliability and ease of operation.

“The Pathfinder cutting system was chosen and in retrospect, it has proven to be the best decision that we could have made. In all the years of continuous operation, we have not encountered any break downs” said IT Manager Ricky Cooper
